Pastor Sandra Dolly-McGlothin: Retreat Spiritual Leader
Pastor Sandra Dolly-McGlothin's early days as an educator in Saginaw, Michigan was a time of enlightenment. Concerns for females in areas of employment, academia, and especially ministry, became her passion and the inspirational force given to her by the Holy Spirit.
While teaching in economically disadvantage areas of the city, she saw a need to level the playing field by trailblazing in areas of job training, women empowerment groups, and curriculum that speaks to women evolving in their roles in ministry. The educational accomplishments of Pastor Sandra includes a Bachelors of Science from Central Michigan University; Masters and Doctoral Degrees from Western Michigan University; and numerous certifications in the areas of teaching, employment and training, counseling, relationship coaching and healing, just to name a few. Pastor Sandra is an Ordained Minister and founder of Women of Faith Ministries which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower, enlighten and heal through faith practices and the mighty power of God. A widow of the late Russell McGlothin, Pastor Sandra has 3 children, 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She enjoys community organization and writing curriculum that speak to the concerns of God. |
Minister Roberta Jones: Retreat Spiritual Leader
Minister Roberta (Jackson) Jones was raised in Hammond, Louisiana, with a strong religious background along with 15 siblings. With a big family of her own, Minister Roberta and her husband of 43 years, William, raised their family in Saginaw, Michigan where she worked for and retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.
Being naturally gifted and talented in culinary arts, Minister Roberta opened and operated her own catering company, J & J Food Service, in 2007. Her signature soul food dishes and delightful desserts has brought families together and provided comfort to those in need. With a passion to devote her life to serving, Minister Roberta was called to the ministry and ordained in 2000. She currently serves on the Wisdom Council for the Women to Women workshops at New Covenant Christian Center, where she has been a member for 15 years. Minister Roberta's zeal for healthy, strong relationships has lead her to women-focused and family-focused ministries where she teaches the Word through love. Minister Roberta enjoys traveling, sharing the Word of God, and spending time with her 11 adult children, 25 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. |
Dr. Christina L. Dillard-Jackson: Retreat Organizer and Host
Dr. Christina L. Dillard-Jackson is a life-long resident of Saginaw County and currently serves as the Supervisor of Buena Vista Charter Township, where she has been a resident for nearly 50 years. She served in the U.S. Army and is very active in veteran services and advocacy.
Dr. Chris has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science and Mathematics; a Master of Arts in Teaching (Natural Science) Secondary Education; a Master of Science in Educational Leadership; an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership; and Doctoral degree in Education. At Saginaw Valley State University, she currently serves as the Director for the Morris Hood Educator Development Program and serves an adjunct instructor of science and mathematics at Delta College. With over 20 years in K-12 education, Dr. Chris served as a mathematics and science teacher at her alma-mater, Buena Vista High School, taught science at Saginaw High and the Saginaw Learn to Earn Academy. Dr. Chris directed various after-school programs for over 15 years and is the founder and director of RISE Educational Consulting, her own non-profit organization, which provides a variety of learning and personal growth opportunities for the community at large. She also owns iMix, LLC which is a social beverage service company. Recently married to Vellise Jackson, Dr. Chris enjoys planning and coordinating positive events that educate and bring the community together. She is a mother of two adult children. |
